Black cotton sleeveless top. It has a high stand collar and closes centre front with a metal zip. Around the bottom hem is a waistband with two metal buckles and tabs for adjustment at each side. On the front it has two jetted angled inset pockets at the waist. The shoulder seams have been carried over the shoulder to the back and cut on a sharp angle from the neck to part way down the armhole (in the style of 1800s tailoring).

Referencing McQueen’s approach to tailoring, this zip-up cotton top has slanted jetted pockets and has the shoulder seams displaced to the back. This method of cutting the shoulders was standard in tailoring during the 1700s and 1800s.
