Diagram of how a person catches cholera. First another cholera patients excrement gets eaten by flies, used as nightsoil or comes into contact with another person. This can then infect further individuals through unboiled water, uncooked vegetables, shellfish, or unhygenic ice cream. Handwritten inscription on poster by John S Willis, in Hong Kong, April 1947. Willis has translated the Chinese into English.
