Liu Hulan was a CCP member who organised peasants to support the CCP during the Civil War. She was executed by the Guomindang in 1946. Chairman Mao wrote "A great life, a glorious death" in her honor, and she was made a model. In this poster four Young Pioneers stand with Liu Hulan's mother in front of a Liu statue.
